What exactly is so magical about stickers? I remember having albums of them when I was 10ish and trading them with my friends. We can make almost anything better for Siena with a sticker. And who needs jewelry when you have stickers? Last night while out to dinner with grandmother, aunt, parents, and bro and his wife at one point we all had a sticker on our noses. Siena was quite pleased. Where was the camera then?

Siena is talking so much nowadays that it's mind-blowing. Her sentences are becoming more and more complex. She loves to play outside and get in the dirt and pick all the flowers (arrgh!). She knows all her colors (we're starting to work on light blue vs. dark blue--exciting!) and can recognize most capital letters. She can count to 11, but I don't think she really understands the concept of counting things, but we're working on it. Often if you ask her to count something she'll just say quickly, " 1, 2, 3, 4!" She'll draw pictures and tell you what she's making and of course it looks just like it. :) She can draw a circle and will even make a face by adding eyes, ears etc and gets them in about the right place. It's so cool!

From one extreme to the other

After snow, 5 days later we had forecasts of 70 degrees. We decided that we must go to the beach and Siena agreed. She had a blast playing in the sand and amazingly stayed out of the water! We treated ourselves and got a hotel 1 block from the beach and loved every minute!

Sunday, it was really warm (80 according to the gas station on the way out of town). Hans took his shirt off on the beach and Siena just had to follow suit... At least we had sunscreen. :) Glorious!

Snow Day!

We got about 6 inches of snow last night so we stayed home. Siena loved playing in the snow and especially taking a walk through our snow covered quiet neighborhood! She also got to sport her new scarf (thanks Ms. Bev) and ladybug hat (thanks Ms. Mary)!

After the fun we put her to work.
