Happy Halloween!

Siena enjoyed her first Halloween today. As you can see, she was a sweet lady bug. At day care they had a parade through the building (it's a USDA office building) and went trick or treating.

For all you Eagles fans out there...

Daddy bought Siena her own Eagles Jersey (but notice the purple stripe on the pants! Go Ravens!)

Swimming Lessons

Siena's taking a 4 week course of swimming lessons called "Parent and Tot". Hans and I take turns taking her. They don't really do too much with them other than try to get the babies comfortable with the water. Siena has gone under without crying and will let the instructor carry her around in the water so she's doing great. We love the water so we figured it was a good idea to go ahead and get her started. Plus it's at UMD's gorgeous pool and pretty cheap! A lovely way to unwind after work!

11 Months & 37 Years!

Hans and Siena shared a birthday today! How is it possible that she'll be a year old in a month? I am also a bit freaked out that Hans is 37 (which means that I will be too in a few days). Seems like only yesterday we were 19!

This picture is actually from late September when Siena and I went to Richmond to visit family. She got to wear this sweet dress that her Great-Great Aunt Ann gave to her!

Bling

Siena loves necklaces, bracelets and rings. She had an amazing time with my Aunt Diane and Cousin Dinelle who are very shiny. :) Her future hubby better start saving his coins now!

Life comes full circle.

We discovered a wonderful place a few weeks ago that I think will be a favorite for a long time. Clark's Elioak Farm nearby in Columbia. It has a sweet petting zoo and a whole bunch of big nursery rhyme houses and sculptures. Siena is entranced by the animals and the big sculptures of the 3 pigs, Mother Goose, etc. The really cool thing about this place is the Nursery Rhyme pieces come from an old amusement park that used to be nearby called The Enchanted Forest. My folks used to take me there. The Nursery Rhyme installations had fallen into disrepair, but these folks are bringing them back. It's such a fabulous place. And it only costs $4.50!
