Officially a Toddler

This past month has been a whirlwind of Siena milestones and we look at her now and realize that we now have a baby toddler, not a baby baby. The clinchers have been walking and finishing nursing. I have several friends with babies the same age that are all rolling over and learning to sit up and Siena seems like an adult in comparison. I know when compared to older kids she's a babe, but I am just so amazed by how far she's come. It has been such a joy to watch her grow.

She loves books. She'll turn the pages for you when you read to her (sometimes too fast) and she loves to hold the books herself and "read" out loud. She points to the books and says, "Buh." Here you can see her reading, with the remnants of the hurricane that is Siena behind her.

She's walking pretty well now. She'll crawl if she needs to get somewhere fast. Yesterday she was so excited to get a "Boo" (balloon) from both Red Robin and Trader Joes. She walked around carrying them (and getting tangled in the ribbons) for ages.

In the past few days she totally mastered this put the ring on the pole toy. She'll even stack the rings past the top of the pole.

And finally, yesterday Hans turned her car seat around since she's now the age and weight for forward facing, plus her feet were hitting the seat when turned backwards. She was a bit confused, but excited by the new view of the world!

So, you see what I mean!
