Springtime in Baltimore.

Siena took advantage of the nice weather and went to Fells Point while Grandma Lemke & Pop were visiting. She was held for 3 straight days while getting reaquainted with her Florida grandparents. She loved every minute.

See pictures from this and other recent adventures at our January 2007 so far album on ofoto.

Our luck runs out.

Those of you following Siena's favorite teams know that we had a pretty dismal football weekend. Two silver linings however, first I actually got to go to the Ravens game while Mom, Grannie Ruth and Aunt Diane babysat. Siena took the bottles from them with no problem. Game was horribly depressing, but it was good to get out like a normal person.

Secondly, while the Eagles lost that night, Siena cheered while actually holding her Eagles rattle. She moved it around some and held on for a minute or so. (this didn't happen during the game, but we can pretend).

Is she cute, or what?

Parental bias aside, that face just melts my heart... Siena had her 6 week check-up a few days ago. She's doing great and is 10 lbs 11oz! She's been gassy and cranky lately so the doctor prescribed her baby zantac which has really helped. Now she's back to her old sweet self. She apparently has a type of reflux where instead of spitting up a lot, she soothes her discomfort by overeating which also explains the rapid weight gain. No doubt she's a Beck... she's probably been dreaming of how to make ice cream out of the breast milk!

Like Mom's Ravens she has proved to be a good luck charm for Dad's Eagles. Most excitingly, she is mastering the art of taking a bottle which is timed perfectly to allow Mom to go to the Ravens playoff game on Saturday! Wooo Hoooo!!

Bowl Weekend

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! We travelled from PA to NC over the holidays. Now Siena has met most of her family, but most importantly, all of the Great Grandmothers. As you'll see from pictures soon to be posted, she's been held by 1,000 new friends and we all had a great time. She's a good traveller (thank goodness!)

We ramped up into high football mode upon our return home with Maryland and Virginia Tech bowl games and the last Ravens game of the regular season. Siena was decked out for each event and only failed to be a good luck charm for the Hokies.
